Spiritual Care Quick Guide

1. Spiritual Care addresses the needs of the Human Spirit which can significantly improve overall well-being.

If you are seeking Spiritual Care and especially if you are desperate for Spiritual Care; you are probably also experiencing some form of vulnerability, therefore, you must protect yourself from Spiritual Care Abuse and Spiritual Care Predators.

Here are important topics related to Spiritual Care:

1. Spiritual Care

2. Financial Exploitation is both illegal and incompatible with Spiritual Care. Financial Exploitation by a trusted person or organization is predatory. Report Financial Exploitation related to Spiritual Care immediately.

3. Spiritual Abuse is a form of psychological and emotional abuse in which a Faith Leader / Person uses spiritual or religious beliefs, practices, and authority to manipulate, control, and harm another person.

4. Substance Use Disorder conflicts with Spiritual Care. People may use substances as a way to cope with pain or trauma, but this is Misguided Self-Care, unhealthy and ultimately harms the body, mind, and spirit. Addiction causes a profound sense of disconnection from one's true self. Substance Use can lead to a loss of purpose and direction in life, which conflicts with The Quest for meaning and Holiness. Being a Predator Unto Yourself refers to the psychological concept where a person acts against their own well-being; trapped in a self-sabotaging pattern of Substance Use Disorder.

People who insidiously benefit from enabling Substance Use Disorder go to great lengths to normalize these abuse substances being deliberately flooded into communities and this is actually a form of Biological Warfare:

  • US Colonial Captains gave blankets and other fabric items from Smallpox Hospitals to Bands and Tribes.
  • US Authorities regularly provide Alcoholic Beverages to Native Americans as a cultural and social disrupter.
  • Street Drug sales support secret objectives (Boland Amendment).

5. Spiritual Addiction is an unhealthy, obsessive relationship with religious or spiritual practices. Over time, persons may need to engage in these behaviors more frequently or intensely to achieve the same mood alteration. People with Spiritual Addiction can be judgmental and ignore social and present truths.

6. Spiritual Psychosis / Religious Psychosis, is where a person experiences psychotic symptoms that are intertwined with religious or spiritual themes. This condition can cause distress and a disconnection from reality, with symptoms such as religious delusions, paranoia, excessive rituals, and grandiose beliefs.

Spiritual Psychosis vs. Spiritual Awakening distinction lies in the effect on a person's life.

Spiritual Awakening/Emergence: A healthy process that brings a sense of peace, clarity, and connection, enhancing life and personal growth without disrupting functioning.

Spiritual Psychosis: Causes significant distress, confusion, and disconnection from reality, impairing daily functioning and potentially leading to harmful behaviors.

7. Spiritual Charlatans: It is a widely held belief that the principal satanic strategy is deception through imitation. People and groups imitate what is Godly or benevolent for the purpose of deceiving others. Charlatans imitate healing and use spiritual jargon without true embodiment or integrity, prioritizing the aesthetic and commodity instead. Charlatans are essentially con artists operating within a spiritual or religious context.

8. Spiritual Secret Knowledge is considered a Red Flag because it is often used as a tool for control, manipulation, and exploitation within insular groups or by narcissistic leaders. Legitimate spiritual guidance generally emphasizes universal truths and personal empowerment, not hidden wisdom accessible only to a select few. True spiritual insight, across many traditions, is often associated with humility and a desire to serve others. Claims of exclusive, secret knowledge often stem from a place of ego and pride, which are considered red flags in many spiritual contexts.

9. A Spiritual Cult is a group with an unorthodox or distorted set of beliefs and practices, often centered around a Charismatic Leader who demands unquestioning loyalty and claims Special Knowledge. These groups frequently use manipulation and control to isolate members from outside society, leading to financial, emotional, or even physical exploitation.

For more information on identifying potentially harmful groups, resources are available through organizations like the International Cultic Studies Association (ICSA) which focuses on education and recovery from psychological and spiritual abuse.
